Alexandra Chang grew up in Northern California where she eventually became a technology journalist, including writing for Wired. She’s since moved across the country, obtained an MFA from Syracuse, and wrote her debut novel Days of Distraction. The book follows a narrator who has a similar life to Chang, but the book is far from autofiction.

Spring is upon us and all of our to be read piles are heating up. The working list of debuts to read that are publishing this month was 14 and that, I’m sure, doesn’t even scratch the surface.
