Debutiful Submissions

We are currently accepting submissions only for debut books published in June 2026 and beyond.

Please use the form below to submit your book for coverage on Debutiful. This form can be used to pitch for selection to be included in one of our monthly Noteworthy Debut Books lists, excerpts, and interviews on Debutiful’s website. Podcast guests are hand-selected by Adam Vitcavage and are not considered from pitches sent using this form. Please keep this in mind when framing your pitch.

Before pitching, take a moment to review our past selections to get a sense of the types of books we typically feature. Our editorial calendar is closely tied to each book’s publication date (see why below). To allow Debutiful adequate time to read and consider submissions, the best time to pitch is at least three-four months before publication.

Due to the volume of inquiries, we can only respond to submissions we intend to cover. If we’re interested in covering your book, you can expect a response within two weeks. Please note that we’re rarely able to respond to direct messages on social media.

Debutiful receives over 1,000 pitches a year, and founder Adam Vitcavage reads/covers around 100. To avoid getting caught up in the onslaught of “oh, did I miss this or that?”, he has decided to mostly cover books during the month of their release. This is to ensure as many books as possible receive coverage near the time of year when they matter most for early sales. Debutiful’s editorial calendar is currently booked ~4 months in advance to give Adam plenty of time to read the books he plans to cover.

Most coverage starting in 2026 will feature the recurring My Reading Life Q&A or themed reading listicles. He plans to offer 2-3 podcast conversations a month to shift coverage back to the website, which accounted for 82% of traffic in 2025. This is to increase visibility for writers and their books.
